4. What is the greater goal of the roster? Is it a development project or a long-term project?
I’m probably not the right person to ask this question but from my understanding the main purpose is development. We are obviously playing to win but there are many things to learn also from a loss. I believe that if I give the guys consistent play, and valuable feedback that even if we lose at the beginning we will win with time. So for me, the results at the beginning are not super important, I am just focused on pointing the young guys in the right direction.
5. Have you watched any SCL games or teams in the SCL? If so, who do you have your eyes on?
For me it is more of a “hobby”-project and so I don’t really focus too much on our opponents. I just try to do what I can to win and be the experienced rock the team needs. I’m gonna be that guy if we play against a bad or a good team either way. To me it’s also an advantage not to build your opponents up in your head so by not caring it’s easier to stay focused on just one thing and that’s winning.
6. What do you think is the ceiling of this lineup?
I think we will run into a ceiling eventually, seeing as we don’t practice, we just show up for matches, But with that said, we have players who have maybe only hit 20% of their actual potential. Mechanically they are gifted and great but they are missing a lot of understanding of the game, which comes with time. I think I’m a great coach, so stepping in and helping the guys out will hopefully shape some of the talents of the future 💪
A Massive thank you to NatoSaphiX for sitting down with me and having a chat. We wish him and his team all the best in the SCL Intermediate Division. GLHF
As for the interviews, They will start back again closer to playoffs where ill focus on 1-3 teams per division to give you guys the ones to watch. Stay tuned. <3
